In lovely 15ct gold, (a standard used solely in Britain between the years of 1854-1932) with a variety of super twisted wirework decoration it is further ornamented with juicy foil backed cabochon Garnets. Circa 1860's, and very fashionable at the time, the Etruscan Revivalist movement took inspiration from classical Greek and Etruscan objects which had been unearthed from tombs and featured intricate wire work and granulation. A harmony of design, the techniques used to craft these jewels were rediscovered and this all lead to a frenzy of creativity across the more well-to-do nations of the world. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe locket section contains the original glass and is ready to show a precious photograph or picture. You'll notice the remains of a brooch fitting to the reverse.
